Touchscreen Kiosks

These are touchscreen kiosks that provide access to legal research for prisoners. The project was to improve the interface to make it more usable.

My Work

Previously, these kiosks contained the same intricate interface as the desktop version for the previous version of Lexis®, which required extensive selection of sources before entering a search and was not appropriate for a touch screen interface (lengthy dropdown menus, etc.).

I redesigned it completely to be appropriate for a touch-screen kiosk where the user might be sitting or standing. I enabled the user to select content via a series of questions with 1-4 choices, each with a large, touch-friendly button. Each one progressively narrowed down the field of content.
