These are some examples of websites and user experience design software projects. New samples will be added periodically.
I design software applications and websites. I have had my own business designing websites and Flash since 2005. I also work for large corporations, such as Panasonic Avionics, Arbonne and Dr. Schulze, as well as smaller local businesses, including an art gallery, a law firm, an entertainment company, an Olympic volleyball coach, etc., designing websites and software applications
During the last 5+ years, I have focused on software design for Panasonic Avionics and LexisNexis®, combining my legal knowledge (an attorney for 15 years) with the best practices in UX/UI design. I worked on major products and features for them as the sole Product Designer on each project.
I believe the best design is both beautiful and functional. It should feel effortless to the user. The best approach is a clean design enabling the user to accomplish the most important tasks easily. I achieve this design using a blend of the latest research and common sense. I follow the leaders in the field, e.g., Jakob Nielsen, Steve Krug, Luke Wroblewski, boxesandarrows.com, etc. and participate in UX-related discussions on Linked In and other forums. I have started a Legal Technology forum on Linked In.
I keep abreast of the latest design trends; however, one must always consider the needs of the user above all, and only choose designs and features that complement and enhance the user's primary tasks. I also keep up with the aesthetic aspects of design. I am a major art lover and visit galleries and museums whenever possible, especially when traveling to major cities. I have been fortunate to be the chosen web designer for Mandarin Fine Art Gallery, a gallery showcasing Contemporary Chinese art, which has become extremely important in the art world during the last decade.
